At the present CIS Semillas is a Chilean leading seed company for the local market and in the counter season seed production alternative to produce commercial and basic seeds of several crops (corn, sugar beet, sunflower and canola ) for different customers in many places like USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.

  From its early beginning, it has been the policy of CIS Semillas to produce seed of high quality, taking special care in each step of the production chain. For this purpose we work with reliable and experienced farmers which, together with a highly trained team of Agronomists and Technicians who supervise all the process assures a trustworthy final product.

   Our company has efficient drying facilities and a versatile processing plant located in Paine just at the side of the main Highway, kilometre 42 south of Santiago. This plant is in a 3 Ha land with 6.450 m2 of constructions, 26 seed corn dryers and the capacity to receive in one time, with an automatic unloading system, up to 1.416 tons of ear corn. Additional to this, there is a separated plant with dryers and processing equipment for basic seed production.

  The commercial seed production zone is located 100 Km. to the south of Santiago, between Rancagua and Talca, with 1.000 to 1.500 Has. Of production (see map in in Photo Gallery)

  The basic seed production area is around Paine, with about 60 - 70 isolations.
