First of all, is the fact to use the southern hemisphere as a counterseason production and in this way have the chance to grow two crops in one year. The technical reasons which allows us to proceed with such possibility are:

* Excelent Phytosanitary level, which taken individually, are factors who promotes towards low risks of sanitary problems. If in our case, there are all present in our country, implies an enhancement towards very good conditions 

* Chile is recognized for its high luminosity

* Availability of water for irrigation

* Temperatures between 9ºC (night) and 28ºC (day) during the growing season

* Geograhical isolation (desert in the north, high Andes mountains East, antartic ice south and Pacific ocean West).

* Internationally recognized work of our Ministry of Agriculture authorities through officials from SAG.

* Good Technical & Infrastructure Level

* Clear seed legislation

* Easy and expedit Import/Export procedures and regulations

* Good banking system

* The permanent presence of international seed companies implies an updated knowledge – through their representatives - of everybody who gets to meet and work with them.

* Good agricultural level of farmers, agronomist and technitians.

* GMO production is not allowed for commercial purposes and only permited for seed production.

* ANPROS (National Seed Producers Association), has a GPS system which via Internet it is possible to check for the seed fields of other companies and establish the corresponding isolations.

* Chile is recognized to certify accordingly with OECD standards.

* Chile is a member of UPOV for the protection of plant breeder’s rights
* There is a recognized political and economical stability.
